The fall season is often an introspective period in our lives, prompted by the pensive moods evoked by the fall foliage. We're delighted to present "Autumn Selections 04," featuring a wide variety of emotive cuts.

On the heels of the release of his second artist album ("Hymn To The Night") and first-ever USA tour, Vintage and Morelli kicks off the EP with "Cozy Life," which was initially teased (in mixed format only) on his and Max Flyant's "Only Silk 05" compilation. This beautiful tune centers on a mellow chord progression that evolves into a sweeping wave of (euphoric) sound. Staccato vocal cuts enhance the euphonious soundscape and coax the listener to bop along to the groove. In the lush main breakdown, a pensive, seaside ambience evokes the image of a coastal walk; the exhilarating drop to follow propels the listener to make a blissful dash along the shoreline.

Released last year, Sound Quelle's "LoMe" was an 80s-inspired deep dive. Retaining the synthwave influence, this reworked version offers a rapturous, peak-hour 4/4 progressive groove, in contrast to the more chilled original mix. Urging the listener to "plug me in," the arrangement links the mind and body through aural currents of pure electricity.

Russian producer PROFF offers a thrilling new take on his hit single "For The Last Time"; the 'Breaks' treatment proves to ignite the arrangement with a revitalized energy. This new version follows its original melodic progression, but is now flanked by more aggressive, yet spaced percussion. The net effect is a more atmospheric (and intoxicating) groove that surges through the listener with each snare hit.

Shingo Nakamura's "Always" became an instant deep-progressive classic, upon release two years ago. Fellow label veteran Alex Pich offers an even deeper take -- an elegant and moody interpretation that guides the listener to places long gone. Centering on a cavernous bassline (an Alex Pich signature), the transportive and lush aura of this composition is nothing short of tantalizing.

Teased several years ago as the final track on Max Flyant's "Only Silk 04" mix, Sienna's "Polar (Dub Mix)" finally receives an unmixed release, in all of its chilled and introspective glory. Intricate breaks have the sharp yet refined qualities of ice, with an 808 hit on the half measures balancing the unique percussion. The track's deep bassline, juxtaposed with the lighter, crystalline midrange effects, creates a sparkling energy that is both complex, yet deeply enjoyable to the listener.

Downtempo artist Stan Chetverikov was recently featured on our recent "Chillout Sessions 03" compilation; he continues to create dazzling compositions with a cinematic scope, and "Catharsis," the concluding track on the "Autumn Selections 04" release, is no exception. The song immediately creates a distinct sense of space via deep reverberations. Myriad layers of hypnotic (and rapturous) arpeggios slowly crescendo, ultimately culminating in a climax that lives up to the song's name.
