100 Releases eh, Blimey! Filth Infatuated is actually 20 years old now. But the label was started in 2012 by myself, Kev D and Alex Selley, although since the end of 2017 I've been sailing the good ship Filth solo.
It was originally a means to put out our own Techno (as novice producers) and a home for new upcoming Techno artists. Lots of the artists that started off releasing on Filth have gone onto massive things with releases on some top top labels and I'm proud of that fact.
Techno is such a vast vast genre with all its many pigeon holes and styles (even more so these days) and the label has never really stuck to one sound or been labeled as a certain 'style'. Variety is the spice of life they say. We've had it all from Stripped back minimalist groves, tough tribal techno, searing acid techno and everything in-between (Including Electro, Experimental, Breakbeat and even one release of DnB!)
We have over the years also been fortunate enough to have some rather cool underground heroes get involved with tracks and remixes from the likes of A.P. Geezer, The Anxious, Maxx and Sterling Moss to name just five.
Anyway, here's to the next 100 releases.....
I Just want to say a BIG thank you to ALL of the many artists that sent in demo's, supplied tracks and remixes over the years (Far too many to mention) Also, shouts to Louk for his ongoing superb promo work (and his tracks / remixes) respect also to some of the wicked mastering guys we've used over the years (Aka Carl, who was a massive help at the start, Jon Doe, A.P. and Jim E Scavenger) Lastly a big thanks to all the DJ's, Artists and fans who have supported the label. It means a lot. Cheers. MN x
