Black Soda is a Namibian-born, Cape Town-based beat poet whose rolling rhymes have appeared on deep house bastions like Desolat, Rebellion & Poker Flat. On production, South Africa's Deep Aztec has shared stages with the cream of underground dance music, from Black Coffee and Tim Green to Culou De Song. He has released on tastemaking imprints like Get Physical and Watergate. "For The Seeing Kind" sees the two of them take Chez Damier's Prescription Underground sound from the early 90s and bring it up to date with the kind of slow-burning South African style that has seen Afro-House explode worldwide this year—a future spoken word classic.
