Redolent Music is thrilled to announce the debut of Senzala and Brandon Lucas with this
remarkable two-song EP. Senzala, who has previously released music on Stereo
Productions and Crosstown Rebels, has established himself in the UK electronic scene with
his groovy and tribal-infused sound.
The first song on the EP is a Senzala remix of 'My Tribe,' a melodic and deep track featuring
the powerful voice of American activist Cornel West. In this remix, Senzala increases the
tempo and adds a fervent bassline to Brandon's original song 'Something Real,' perfectly
complementing Cornel's strong vocal.
The second song on the EP is an original collaboration called 'Never Alone.' Brandon wrote
this spiritual track before he moved to New York City, and he and Senzala connected
through their manager and fell in love with each other's sound. After Senzala remixed 'My
Tribe' for his House of West project with Dr. West, Brandon knew they had to create
something original together.
Brandon wrote 'Never Alone' during a difficult period when he was feeling isolated and
restless, taking a break from his career in entertainment to focus on his music. He wrote
about how he believed that if he kept love at the center of his mission, he would always
have what he needed, since God is love. After recording the song, he sent it to Senzala,
who added his signature tribal sound to create a dark, heartfelt, and emotional track.
Now, the two artists are on their respective journeys, still writing their own history together
with 'Never Alone.'
