Spektre are back on their record label Respekt with their first original music of 2024, and it's an exhilarating two-track techno EP in their usual peak time style.

Based in the UK, Spektre are a highly respected and influential techno duo consisting of Rich Wakley and Paul Maddox. Not only have they featured many releases on their own record label Respekt, but they have also featured on other prestigious imprints ranging from Drumcode to Filth on Acid.

Their dark and driving style is a fusion of explosive percussion and intense synth lines that create high-octane energy that's perfect for the dance floor.

The EP's title track 'Dodgems' opens the release with a thundering kick drum and bursts of breakbeat percussion. Dramatic bass stabs and spiralling synths are joined by soulful vocal textures that give the track a warehouse party vibe.

'Sacrament' is built around the modulating tones of a menacing arpeggio that's layered with euphoric vocals and heavy percussion. It's suspense-building breakdown section builds to a hands in the air crescendo before the drums plunge the track back into darkness.
