DECISIONS26S1 | 2024-03-06
Sydney based club agitator turned superproducer Air Max ‘97 links with Inverell’s finest T Breezy for the sanguine late-summer slap On My Grind. Breezy spins effortless yarns of life mastery, riches and party protocol (when I pull up to the party I need 2 bottles of Henny / came a long way from the bottom so I’m sippin' on the best shit) over a balmy trap bounce. The instrumental filters Air Max 97’s familiar bass weight and textural richness through a new melodic and light-filled prism, marking all new feels in the producer’s expansive oeuvre.

The official music video for On My Grind stars both artists at an ethereal chess parlour duelling for rolls of cash in a contemporary reimagining of Ingmar Bergman’s 1957 arthouse classic The Seventh Seal. Needless to say Blak wins, and T Breezy departs the scene a stack and two bottles of Henny richer. The video will release on the Breezy-affiliated Trackwork YouTube channel on March 6th, coinciding with the single release on Air Max ‘97’s DECISIONS label on the same day.

A track that took 2 years to write but only 20 minutes to record, On My Grind is both artist’s first drop of 2024 and quietly foreshadows major full length releases for each… stay tuned.
