The latest release from Madloch's Sound Avenue welcomes Ercos Blanka back to the label for a new EP. A musician for the majority of his life, Italian artist Thierry Viti aka Ercos Blanka began his journey playing guitar at the age of seven, while taking cues from the likes of Fabrizio De André, Battisti, Mina and eventually Pink Floyd, the latter of which opened his mind to more experimental music. Three years on at the age of ten, Thierry was gifted a keyboard and a Kraftwerk CD, marking a turning point in his musical journey, one where he realized his true passion lay in electronic music composition. On the strength of early tracks such as 2011's ‘Digital Deep' and ‘Secret Love', Ercos established himself as a name to watch in the deeper realms of house and techno, pushing an aesthetic that was both haunting and effortlessly cool. Blanka's creative partnership with Sound Avenue began in 2020 and proved to be a resounding success, in the form of a contribution to the label's ‘Correlation' series with ‘Kafka', a track which generated more than 2.6 million streams on Spotify. Additional projects via Saisons and Seven Villas across the next four years would further establish Blanka's deep, dubbed out and character rich sound. Now, presenting his first project of 2024, Ercos makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a two-track showcase entitled ‘Heresy'.
