Mimmo Falcone’s MoBlack label goes from strength to strength as it is certainly the dominant imprint when it comes to Afro powered House jams at the moment. One of those sun drenched tracks is Mabiisi’s ‘Baakoya’ which now comes back with a rather huge remix package. First up is Armonica’s electronic take that fuses the great Afro vocal with deep synths and a raw bassline. Cristian Vinci also delivers a deeper version, powered by some straight Afro beats and superb use of a classic flute. Savio de Simone serves a slice of classic Afro House that really does a trick or two on any floor near you, but for me personally it is the musically outstanding and percussion fuelled version from M.Caporale that rounds off a huge package. Summer is here, this is proof.
