FRANCIS GALANTE

Passionate about music ever since, in 1975 when he was 15 years old, he began to work as a dj in one of the few radio of the time in Italy with a programme having a prophetic name: UNDERGROUND. He broadcasted at night to avoid the musical mish mash already influencing the radio background of that time and he selected any kind of music. You could listen to songs of Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and The Gang or Jethro Tull, King Crimson or PFM, Claudio Lolli, thus music without borders and without barriers. Thanks to this experience, 2 hours for 5 nights a week for 3 years, he could build up his musical background and discover his special love for dance music and all its different aspects. He particularly fell in love with Philly Sound and his music, that will become the base of all his dj sets.
In 1978 his first performance as a dj in a disco club in Veneto (North Italy) where he was really appreciated and took the decision to transform his passion into his job.
From 1980 to 1990 he performed in 200 dj sets each year, passing through the end of discomusic and witnessing the birth of the musical phenomenon that would have change completely the disco clubbing not only in Italy but all over the world: HOUSE MUSIC.
Starting from 1990 he focused his attention on soulful house and he started proposing this sound made of soft and warm melodies all around Italy
He and his music have been the protagonists in the marvellous dancing nights of many clubs in Italy, very many for mention everyone
