Jules Le Boudon & Cristian Saavedra: Trailblazers in Afro-Latin House Music
Renowned producers and DJs Jules Le Boudon and Cristian Saavedra have teamed up to make waves in the afro-Latin house music scene. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, they each come with over three decades of international experience, setting new trends in the DJ world.
The Debut of EP1
Their collaborative journey began in 2021 with the release of 'EP1', a four-track EP featuring collaborations with notable Swedish artists like Rasha, Mr. Z, and Sara B. These tracks were crafted in the creative hub of Saavedra Sound Studio in Gothenburg.
2022: A Year of Sonic Innovations
In March 2022, they released "Trichteza," a track infused with Brazilian vocals and a deep-house groove. It was soon followed by "Aché Pa Ti" in June, a rhythmically rich composition featuring Yoruba lyrics.
August saw the release of "Oye Mi Rumba" in collaboration with the Cuban duo DJ Reitt & Shanara, a perfect fusion of Latin vocals and Latin-house beats.
'Mirage' from Afronova Records
Set to grace the music world in 2023, "Mirage" is Afronova's upcoming release under Afronova Records. This track is a captivating blend of North African and Indian music, intertwined with Latin and African rhythms, offering a unique sonic journey.
Afronova draws inspiration from renowned artists such as Pablo Fierro, Black Coffee, Louie Vega, Gregor Salto, Oscar P, Sparrow, and Barbossa.
The group's live performances are elevated by the extraordinary talent of Thiago Da Silva, a percussionist from a well-known Uruguayan family, pioneers in Candombe percussion. His rhythms add a profound depth to Afronova's sound.
