A man noted for incorporating battle style turntablism into his sets, Detroit’s DJ Godfather has been at the forefront of the ‘ghetto tech’ movement for well over two decades. After dropping the electro-fied ‘Killshot EP’ last December, this time on ‘Love, Detroit’ we see him take it back to the source of techno.
DJ Godfather then brings an array of Detroit friends to give their interpretations with Rolando, DJ 3000, Gettoblaster, Invite Only and TekNoNo providing their own remixes across the techno-house divide. The EP is wrapped up by a techno remix from London’s Oliver Way and a ‘Jit’ mix from Godfather himself.
