The Rebirth Lab series introduce three brand new artists with three different tracks. The Volume Eight includes music from Cole T, WiLLY MiKK and Martin-es.
Cole T is a Los Angeles based DJ and producer who's rapidly risen throughout the underground. At the age of thirteen his father gave him a mixer and a set of turntables, igniting in him what cole describes as "an indescribably real feeling". His love for music led him to deal with various aspects, from executive production to management and creative direction, to music production and DJing. By mixing up influences, pushing technical abilities and bringing new energy everywhere he goes, Cole has created a name for himself - leading to bookings across the United States and Europe such as Coachella, Miami Art Basel, and the dance floors of Ibiza. His exclusive productions, including unreleased IDs / edits, and vinyl-only singles, have built a buzz in the underground scene - gaining support from Industry heavyweights like The Martinez Bro's, ARTBAT, wAFF and Jamie Jones. His track 'Soul2Take' is a mix of very powerful elements, from the classic house vocals to the Detroit techno drum patters, able to unleash any dancefloor.
WiLLY MiKK is the House music moniker of Nashville-based producer, mixer, and mastering engineer Will Mikkelson. Will has been involved in indie rock music since 2009 but wasn't until the 2020 lockdown when a fortuitous re-connection with an old DJ friend reignited his interest in electronic music transforming it into an obsession. The unique sound of Acid House and the moody and groovy Deep House opened the doorway to the sprawling panorama of electronic music. In love with the House classics as much as new productions Will aims to keep this essence in his productions and DJ sets. 'Work Hard Plays Hard' is a killer track with a deeper vibe, made of round jazzy chords, powerful sub basses and punchy kickdrum .
Simone Martines aka Martin-es was born in March '93 in a small town in the eastern Sicily. His relationship with electronic music is a bit complicated indeed, when he was young, Simone was always criticized. But in 2005 he began the turn: he started listening to techno getting closer lately to house music with deep and techno influences. In 2011 he began producing music for various Italian and International record labels and his style is a mix of house and deep sounds, but also garage, funky and soulful. 'En Ciel' is the synthesis of his enveloping sound, which takes up the touch of the first Italo House, stuffing it with atmospheric pads and an hypnotic groove.
